What are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Manager to join our growing team. Operating across our Construction, Demolition and Plant Hire divisions, this is a key leadership role responsible for driving health and safety excellence throughout our operations.
Working closely with Directors, Contract Managers and site teams, you will champion a positive safety culture, ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and support the delivery of projects to the highest safety standards.

Responsibilities for the job role:
Lead, drive and deliver the implementation and continuous improvement of health and safety standards across Construction, Demolition and Plant Hire operations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation, regulations and industry best practice.
Develop, review and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
Carry out site inspections, audits and compliance reviews across multiple locations.
Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Support operational teams with project planning and review health and safety documentation including RAMS and Construction Phase Plans.
Monitor and report on health and safety performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Liaise with clients, contractors, regulatory authorities and external auditors.
Promote a proactive safety culture and encourage employee engagement in health and safety initiatives.
Support the maintenance of health and safety management systems and relevant accreditations.
What do we require from you?
Essential
NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent Level 6 Health & Safety qualification).
Proven experience in a Health & Safety Manager role within construction, demolition, civil engineering or plant hire.
Strong knowledge of current UK health and safety legislation and industry best practice.
Experience carrying out audits, inspections and incident investigations.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
CMIOSH status.
NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
SMSTS qualification.
ISO 45001 auditing experience.
Experience working within demolition operations.
