We specialise in Construction, Waste Management, Plant Hire, Demolition and Transport operations.
We are now looking for a Senior Commercial Manager to join our Waste Management Division. You will be directly responsible for the division's performance and will report to the board of directors. Working jointly with the Divisional Operations Manager you will be responsible for around 100 people within the Division.

Responsibilities for the job role:
- Ensure that the division’s commercial operations are running smoothly and compliantly.
- Create, monitor and manage the Waste commercial strategy to increase sales revenues.
- Ensure internal pricing strategy is inline with market rates and provides internal customers with competitive rates.
- Manage and monitor external pricing rates to ensure we’re maximising opportunities, increasing margin and remaining competitive.
- Responsibility for quality of products and services within the division.
- Responsibility for the Divisional commercial sales P & L.
- Inspire and provide leadership of your team.
- Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and service providers to secure favourable terms and conditions.
- To identify and fully understand all commercial opportunities, commodity trading and maximise their return.
- Identify and Implement Divisional KPI’s and monitor and improve where applicable.
- To maximise sales and achieve company KPI’s.
- Collaborate with operational teams to address client needs and deliver exceptional service.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of all relevant regulations and legislation.
- Monitor and ensure any training requirements of your team are actioned.
- Carry out weekly and monthly meetings with your key department heads.
- Oversee, monitor and manage tipping outlet disposal contracts, volumes and price negotiations.
- Direct line manager of the Waste Transport operations.
- Drive transport productivity through line manager of Waste Transport.
Experience required:
- Previous experience in a waste management role is desirable but not essential. Other industry experience such as Logistics, manufacturing, agriculture or Construction will also be considered.
- Experience of working within a fast-paced operational and blue-collar environment is advantageous.
- I.T. literate with the ability to think analytically and laterally.
- High level of oral and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively to the operational department.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- We are looking for someone who has 3-5 years leadership abilities for all types of roles with the capacity to inspire and motivate your teams.
- Flexible in approach and comfortable within a fluid organisational structure that requires both teamwork and self sufficiency.
